Laboratórios vinculados às Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES) apresentam dificuldades no atendimento aos requisitos da ABNT NBR ISO/IEC17025, o que limita a obtenção e a manutenção de sua acreditação. Para dimensionar a magnitude desta problemática, foram efetuados levantamento e análise do perfil dos laboratórios acreditados pela CGCRE e dos reconhecidos pelas Redes Metrológicas Estaduais (RME) no Brasil. Desta forma, o objetivo deste artigo é apresentar e comentar os dados levantados. Este estudo permitiu confirmar a baixa proporção de laboratórios de IES acreditados e a importância do papel das RME.
ABSTRACT – Laboratories of Higher Education Institutions (HEI) have difficulties in attending to the requirements of ISO/IEC17025, which limits the obtaining and maintaining of their accreditation. To measure the extension of this problem, the profile of laboratories accredited by CGCRE and recognized by the Metrological State Networks (MSN) in Brazil was evaluated. The purpose of this article is to present and comment the survey and the analysis of the obtained data. This study confirmed the low proportion of HEI laboratories accredited and the key role played by MSN.
