A aplicação dos raios X requer o estudo de seu espectro. Dificuldades intrínsecas do próprio método e de toda a instrumentação necessária para a realização desta prática são relatados. O objetivo foi demostrar a utilização de um espectrômetro comercial com utilização na temperatura ambiente. Como resultado inicial, foi concluído que tanto a instrumentação é compatível para ser utilizada em um feixe de raios X, com e sem material espalhador em comparação com dados teóricos obtidos.
ABSTRACT – The application of X rays requires a study of its spectrum. Intrinsic difficulties of the own method and of all the instrumentation necessary for the accomplishment of this practice were related. The objective was to demonstrate the use of a commercial spectrometer using at room temperature and compare it with spectra theoretically obtained by simulation. As an initial result was that both instrumentation is compatible to be used in an X-ray beam, with and without scattering material and its theoretical data were obtained.
